110 year-old vines with extra "hang-time" allowed the grapes to ripen fully and give us a balanced wine with both complexity and intensity. The additional maturity also seems to have heightened the "crushed strawberry" aroma that is such an attractive component to fans of this wine. The color is dark and there are hints of cocoa and clove. The soft, rich flavor is just way too charming. There's a small percentage of "field blended" Mourverdre and Petite Sirah here, each contributing additional elements.
