La Rioja, Argentina.....
Located alongside olive groves in a 375 acre area owned and operated by VALLE DE LA PUERTA, the vineyards are located in the Famatina Valley, near the town of Chilecito in the province of La Rioja, 3,280 feet above sea level. The climate is semi-arid with large temperature swings between day and night. The soil is a deep sandy-clay of alluvial origin. Drip irrigation from underground wells is used during bud break (Sept.-Oct.), veraison and after the harvest.
Powerful honeysuckle and other floral aromas are characteristic of this unique wine, the grapes for which are grown almost exclusively in Argentina. It has an elegant pale yellow color with hints of green, while on the palate crisp acidity provides a cleanliness and platform for the citrus flavors. Finishes clean and refreshing, with more floral hints. -Winery
