The predominant grape varieties are: Castelao (Periquita), Camarate, Tinta Miuda and in a smaller proportion Preto-Martinho. The sunny aspect of the vinyards, the clay and limestone soils and the influence of the Atlantic on the climate, all combine to give the estate exceptional conditions for making quality wines. Long maceration, traditional fermentation and oak aging are used in the production of this wine.
