The CHARDONNAY MASO POLI COSTA ERTA is a selection dedicated to the steep hills known as COSTA ERTE in the local dialect. The well-balanced soil is clayey and sandy and of morainic-alluvial origins. The pleasant exposure and constant ventilation of the vines allows the grapes to mature slowly thus exalting the characteristics of this wonderful vine.
Grape variety and vinification: The Chardonnay produces a small to medium cylindrical and compact cluster with a yellowish amber color. The grapes are carefully selected and picked manually. They are gently crushed and left for a brief maceration period. After this they are allowed to ferment in yeast for 8 months in barriques. Once filtered and bottled, the wine is left to refine for 6 months.
It presents a nice golden colour. It is intensely fruity with a trace of apple and peach on the nose, while its honey flavor makes it an elegant, full and complex wine that is well balanced and lasting with a pleasant hint of vanilla.
