60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, all 30+ year-old vines; very aromatic nose of spicy red fruit and plums, and some underbrush as well; good structure; the appealing palate offers polished notes of warm spice and fruitcake and a solid core of sappy, spicy, peppery fruit; more similar in style to a Chateauneuf-du-Pape without the alcoholic edge; a fantastic offering!
