Burgundy, France.....
The original Henri Delagrange was a Parliamentary advisor before the French Revolution. The Delagrange family has owned vineyards in Burgundy ever since. For four generations, they have been actively making wine. This is a small estate, with vineyard holdings at just a bit over 20 acres. And the focus is very much on quality, whether in the more modest appellations of Hautes Cotes de Beaune or in the domaine's incredible Premier Crus.
This comes from 50 year old vines, and is long, rich and concentrated, with very pretty aromatics and a lovely character. Elegant Volnay, very pure in character.
