Agricola Lis Neris Pinot grigio '15 (Friuli, Italy)
On the right bank of Isonzo River, Pinot Grigio has found ideal conditions to express its qualities at a high level. The warmth of its structure and the freshness of its sapidity are perfectly integrated so that the wine gains personality; an outstanding Pinot grigio from the leading producer of the region
Lagar de Cervera Albarino '16 (Rias Baixas, Spain)
Great aromatic intensity, pineapple mingling with melon on the nose, lively, complex and well balanced on the palate, with a creamy texture and a persistent finish. The perfect fine for shellfish, crustaceans and other sea delights.
Domaine Gaudron Vouvray Demi-sec '15 (Loire-Touraine, France)
Quite mineral, the palate is very elegant and suave, with a light smoky note. Some quince and ripe pear flavors; bracing acidity insure freshness and balance for this easy-sipping Chenin. Not quite off-dry as the name implies, but rather bold and textured with a lingering fruity feel. Great for poultry, fatty fish, oriental food, while also a great cocktail wine.
Ancient Peaks Winery Paso Robles Chardonnay '16 (California)
Lively and fresh with balanced acidity and more mineral than most. Shall we say: a bit more Burgundian in style? A good weight on the palate with perfect balance. Try with fatty fish like salmon and tuna, poultry and anything coming off the BBQ
Stonewall Sauvignon Blanc '17 (Marlborough New Zealand)
Fresh and lifted with ripe passion fruit and citrus zest on the nose. Forceful on the palate, generous, with citrus; exotic fruit and a hint of gooseberry, nicely balanced with a lingering finish
Clos Alivu Patrimonio Rose '16 (Corsica, France)
Sourced from 50 year old vines of the eastern coast of Corsica in the Patrimonio hillsides, this wine shows the best of the grape. Niellucio, believed to be related to Sangiovese, thrives in this ideally situated inlet at the north end of the island. When yields are limited, it results in wines with more freshness and finesse than those made in Tuscany. This freshness is readily apparent in the Clos Alivu Rosé, one of the finest Corsica has to offer. Try with salads and white meats.
Mas Gourdou Pic St Loup “Les Drailles" Rose '16 (Coteaux du Languedoc, France)
Hand harvested, 80% Grenache (saignee), 20% Syrah (pressurage-direct). A floral nose with plenty of freshness and complexity. The palate is round, balanced with raspberry and cherry fruit mingling with hints of flint and black pepper. A rose to drink anytime, and could also be kept for a couple of years.
Viña Olabarri Gran Reserva Rioja '10 (Spain)
Ruby with brick-red glints, proper of a careful ageing. Textbook nose of deep, spicy currant fruit mingling with earth and a little mint. Powerful and gutsy on the palate yet refined and well behaved; a genuine, very traditional Rioja.
Sivas-Sonoma Simple Life Pinot Noir '16 (California)
Garnet in color, aromas of luscious cherries, nutmeg and savory herbs bring the wine to life. Bright flavors of cranberry and ripe plum intermingle with sage and warm baking spices. Notes of vanilla from 100% French-oak aging provide a lovely background for the complex and supple tannins. This wine has perfect balance between its dark fruit character and lively acidity, which makes it an easy pairing for a variety of foods.
Maison Chanzy Rully En Rosey Rouge '16 (Burgundy, France)
Ripe fruit on the nose with a warm approach; light oak mingles with delicate red fruit, juicy and inviting. A bit young but showing well now, with a great potential.
Maison Audebert Bourgueil "Grand Clos" '11 (Loire, France)
High terraces and slopes on gravel and chalky soils; dark saturated robe; spicy currant fruit with delicious earthy components. The tannins are well extracted, and offer an opulent, smooth palate and a sappy finish of great dimension. Enjoy now or keep in the cellar for another 2 or more years. Perfect for red meats.
Attilio Contini Cannonau "Tonaghe" '16 (Sardegna, Italy)
Moderately deep, ruby red. Intense with a distinctive vinous bouquet and aromas of ripe plum and wild blackberries; relatively full-bodied with a fine typical structure. This wine goes well with barbecued red meat, game, and strong tasty cheeses.
